Urban Knit Collection | Sneak Peek

Urban Knit Collection is the new book from Kyle Kunnecke. He has taken inspiration from 1920’s and 1930’s urban landscapes to create geometric prints in his knitwear collection.

The big city style meets classic design in this gorgeous guide for the contemporary crater! Inspired by 20th-century architectural elements, Urban Knit Collection offers 18 DIY projects for women and men with a decidedly metropolitan vibe. Whether your style is uptown, downtown, or somewhere in between,Urban Knit Collection has you covered!

Let’s take a look inside, shall we?

Clockwise starting from top left: The Apollo Wrap celebrates the theatre facades of the Art Deco era. This statement garment will turn heads for all the right reasons. The Deco Cardigan draws inspiration from a 1930’s stain-glass light fixture with its cascading brick pattern. These mittens are a stylish must-have for that colder weather. They also include a nifty loop and button feature, to keep them together when not in use. The maroon coloured Arches Scarf features mirrored arches dancing down the design. While the Zephyr Scarf below it has more of a greek pattern to it. The Savoy cardigan, bottom middle, uses bold colour choices to create this trendy design. A Jumper a man will actually want to wear! the Brandt Pullover is stylish and comfortable. Finally in the centre is the sunburst Shawl. This can be worn in warmer weather when there is just a slight breeze. The half circle shawl is stunning and if you are feeling daring you can use beads in a contrasting colour to add extra detail.

Urban Knit Collection is a fantastic book, full to the brim of knitwear that is suitable for all ages. It’s the sort of book that makes you excited for the colder weather.
