Lewis and Irene have another fabric range that we just have to share with you. We think you will particularly love this design as it features all things stitched and sewn.
Threaded with Love will appeal to sewers, quilters, cross-stitchers, embroiders and anyone with a love for the handmade.
The fabric inspiration comes from the Lewis & Irene family themselves. Their mantra is ‘The soul is fed with needle and thread, and our fabrics are always… Threaded with Love’ So it’s no surprise that so much care and love in this range.
It features family portraits and images of children, sat alongside their Grandma who is making a quilt. This pattern gives you that warm feeling that makes you crave time with your family and loved ones. In the range is also different spools of thread with all your favourite colours, pins and needles mixed with scissors and cross stitched hearts.
Let’s take a look at some of the range, shall we?
It’s dreamy isn’t it? The colours they have used are quite rustic and it brings across all those same feelings that crafting brings us. So, what can you make with this fabric I hear you asking? Well, you can’t have a fabric covered in haberdashery without creating a bag in which to store all your haberdashery can you?!
Lewis & Irene have released a free pattern for this bag. They call it a ‘Book Bag‘ but with all the pockets inside and out that it has, I think it is perfect for storing your craft projects and all the accessories you need to go with it while on the go.
This pattern only needs half a meter of two fabrics as well, so you can whip it up quite quickly. They have used Family on Cream and Pink Threaded with Love. But, you could use any of the fabrics. Pick your two favourites (If that is even possible) and stitch away. Below is a look inside of the bag. There are so many compartments to store all your craft accessories such as stitch counters, pins, embroidery scissors, skeins of thread etc.
Lewis & Irene have also released patterns to make these gorgeous lap quilts. We have turned these into kits so you have everything you need to make the quilt top. The stunning coral and raspberry colourway is beautifully complemented with quirky fabrics featuring pins & needles, threads on spools, stitched hearts and the family while the other is completed using the same fabric but in a grey and olive colourway.
