Knitted Scarf Patterns | Five Free Projects

Scarves are simple to make, easily customizable and extremely practical, so it makes perfect sense why they are one of the most popular knitting projects to make. We love handmade scarves too, and our latest FREE eBook features five brilliant knitted scarf patterns to try!

Ribbon scarfStart with an easy-peasy garter stitch scarf with pretty fringed ends – it’s perfect for beginners due to the limited stitches required, and knits up very quickly! You can make it as long as you like too by simply adding more rows. Or, for another look, experiment with ‘tape’ yarn to create a multi-coloured ribbon scarf. This scarf looks so impressive, but is incredibly easy to make.

I love the classic rib stitch scarf pattern, which is great if you’re not a complete beginner but are looking for something quick and simple to try. This chunky design is really warm, as three yarns are used together to make a thicker yarn.

Purple knitted scarf patternIf you’re already an intermediate knitter, there are some more unusual and challenging knitted scarf patterns too. Create a trendy zigzag ‘wave’ pattern with two or more of your favourite colours, or get creative adding beads and sequins.

The eBook includes all of the techniques you need for these five knitted scarf patterns, so you can complete all of the projects regardless of your skill level.
