We are giving away a free pattern for this delightful crochet dishcloth using the Lily Sugar ‘n Cream yarn range. People swear by their own crochet dishcloths and even go as far as to say they are better than any store bought one. We happen to agree!

Contrast A 01223 (Mod Green) 1 ball
Contrast B 01215 (Robin’s Egg) 1 ball
Contrast A 02744 (Swimming Pool) 1 ball
Contrast B 00001 (White) 1 ball
Size 5mm (U.S. H/8) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge. Large eye blunt-ended needle.
13 single crochets and 14 rows = 4inches (10cm)
• When joining colours, work to last 2 loops on hook of first color. Draw new colour through last 2 loops and proceed.
• When joining a new colour, leave a tail approximately 4 inches [10 centimeters] long to ensure you are left with enough yarn to weave in your end.
With A, chain 30.
1st row: 1 single crochet in 2nd chain from hook. *Chain 1. Miss next chain. 1 single crochet in next chain. Repeat from *to end of chain. Turn. (You should have 15 single crochet and 14 chain-1 spaces at end of row).
2nd row: Chain 1. 1 single crochet in first single crochet. *1 single crochet in next chain 1 space. Chain (ch) 1. Miss next chain. Repeat from * 10 times more. 1 single crochet in next chain 1 space. 1 single crochet in last single crochet. Join B. Turn. (You should have 16 single crochet and 13 chain-1 spaces at end of row).
3rd row: With B, ch 1. 1 single crochet (sc) in first sc. *Ch 1. Miss next sc. 1 sc in next chain 1 space (ch-1 sp). Repeat (rep) from * to last 2 stitches. Ch 1. Miss next sc. 1 sc in last sc. Turn. (You should have 15 sc and 14 ch-1 spaces at end of row).
4th row: As 2nd row. Join A. Turn.
5th row: With A, as 3rd row.
Repeat 2nd to 5th rows for pattern until work from beginning measures 8 inches [20.5 centimeters], ending with 2 rows of either colour.
Fasten off. Weave in ends.
