Here come the crochet birds…
Kerry Lord’s Edward’s Menagerie was a runaway success, and no doubt many of you have fallen in love with her crocheted creatures. Kerry is back with a new book full of cute crochet birds, and I can guarantee you’ll fall head over heels for these new designs…
There are forty-one flying friends to crochet in this new book, so I can’t imagine how you’ll go about choosing which one to start first. And just to complicate matters there are four different sizing options for each of the crochet birds – that’s over 160 pattern possibilities!
One notable difference between Edward’s Menagerie: Birds and Kerry’s previous book is the gorgeous splash of colour. The yummy neutral tones still feature, but these new designs are brighter and (dare I say it) even cuter.
Giovanni the lovebird (pictured above with a mysterious lady friend) is one of my favourites – I just love the colour combination of lime, yellow and orange.
How elegant is Florian the ostrich?
Elvis the cockatoo really does look like the king with his bright yellow crest. But why stick to the script?
Experiment with colour and make a whole heap of crochet birds for the little ones in your life to enjoy.
These are just a few of the crochet bird patterns inside Kerry’s new book – which (although not arriving for a little while longer) is now available to preorder here! You’ll be one of the first to try out these adorable new designs if you preorder – and I hope you show us how you get on. Just use the hashtag #edsanimals on Twitter or Instagram when uploading a picture of your crochet bird and we’ll find it!
