Lewis and Irene are back with another fantastic fabric range; as if we expected any less from them! A Walk in the Glen is a rich Autumnal collection which includes a fabulous mix of thistles, deer, antlers and dogs which will take your sewing projects on a fabulous Highland adventure.
The Lewis and Irene ranges have a way of making you want to go on an adventure. Whether it’s travelling to China to save the Red Panda with Minshan or going on a Picnic in the Park; its story is brought to life by its design. A walk in the Glen is no different. Looking at the fabric I picture putting on your wellies and walking the dog in the highlands.
Created in lush autumnal colourways, A Walk in the Glen uses earthy tones as the backing for the fabric. Rich purple and pinks then add warmth to the fabric. The title fabric, A Walk in the Glen, above, features deer eating and wondering among the forest. While a wrapped up man walks his two lovely dogs.
We spotted an incredibly cute project in Lewis and Irene’s latest Brochure, we have turned it into a kit for you. A dog bed fit for the most adventurous of dogs! This is made using Dogs on Natural check, Dogs on soft brown, Antlers on deep raspberry and Thistle on lilac.
The pattern gives a homely country feel to it, doesn’t it? I can just imagine coming home after a long dog walk, kicking off your wellies and the dog taking a long, well-earned nap.
It seems like Lewis and Irene have given us yet another fabric crush! Here are some swatches of the rest of the range that we know you will love just as much as we do.
The quilt is 47″ x 57″ and is made using 10″ block squares and is really simple to put together. This means you will have you quilt completed really quickly, just in time for the temperature drop. You will have snuggling up under your beautiful blanket with a hot drink to look forward to. Perfect!
