Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
With A, ch 6, sl st in first ch to form a ring.
Rnd 1 (RS ): Ch 1, 8 sc in ring, join with a sl st in first sc—8 sc.
Rnd 2: Beg 3-dc Cl in same st, ch 3, (3-dc Cl, ch 3) in each st around, join with a sl st in Beg 3-dc Cl—8 3-dc Cl; 8 ch-3 sps.
Rnd 3: Sl st in next ch-3 sp, ch 6, (sc, ch 6) in each ch-3 sp around, join with a sl st in first sc—8 ch-6 sps. Fasten off A.
Rnd 4: With RS facing, join B with a sl st in any ch-6 sp, ch 3, (2 dc, picot, 3 dc, picot) in same ch-6 sp (first shell made), (3 dc, picot, 3 dc, picot) (shell made) in each ch-6 sp around, join with a sl st in top of beginning ch-3—8 shells. Fasten off B.
Rnd 5: With RS facing, join A in the center dc in any 3-dc group, ch 8 (counts as dc, ch 5), *sk next (dc, picot, dc) in next dc, ch 5, repeat from * around, join to 3rd ch of beginning ch-8—16 ch-5 sps. Fasten off A.
Rnd 6: With RS facing, join B with a sl st in any ch-5 sp, ch 1, (4 sc, picot, 4 sc) in each ch-5 sp around, join with a sl st in first sc—128 sc; 16 picots. Fasten off B.
Rnd 7: With RS facing, join A with a sl st in sp between last and first sc of Rnd 6, ch 10 (counts as dc, ch 7), *sk next (4 sc, picot, 4 sc), dc in next sp between 2 sc, ch 7, repeat from * around, join in 3rd ch of beginning ch-10—16 ch-7 sps. Fasten off A.
Weave in ends and lightly steam block.
