What to make with Tula Pink Moon Shine

We always get excited when the latest Tula Pink range arrives in store at SewandSo. How does she do it? Every range is dynamic, unique yet quintessentially Tula, and Moon Shine is no exception. With stags heads, retro geometrics, cool camping designs and modern florals – the Tula Pink Moon Shine range is a truly exciting. We took a look round the craft community to see what you’ve been making with it….

Tula Pink Moon ShineTula herself has designed two exclusive quilts using the full range of fabrics for Freespirit. The Tree House Chimney Sweep Quilt, pictured above, uses as stunning arrangement of simple squares to create a modern country feel. Download the pattern instructions for free at Make It Coats.

The Abacus Quilt, with its rows of chevrons is reminiscent of an abacus. Practice your counting skills on this fun quilt. Download the pattern instructions for free at Make It Coats.

If quilts are not your sewing project of choice, then the fabrics make stunning bags too. We just love what Cindy over at Raspberry Sunshine whipped up with the Tula Pink Moon Shine range. This fabulous holdall uses Deer Me for the main bag exterior and Lantern for the straps and would work really well in the dark blue colourway too – as per the swatches we’ve picked out below.

Or how about this amazing backpack, also made by Cindy, with it’s camping theme fabric which suits it so perfectly? This bag was made from the Edelweiss Backpack pattern and sewn using Tula Pink Moon Shine  Forest Frivolity in silver, with a lining in SwarmTula Pink Moon Shine How cute is this and what a great travel bag for a weekend camping trip, a festival jolly or a woodland ramble? We’re officially in love with this cute bag!

Other Tula Pink Moon Shine projects that caught our eye from around the web are (from left to right below) this awesome Beatle Bag sewn by @LeslieM which combines Tula Pink Fox Field range with Moon Shine to fabulous effect; this wicked retro-style lampshade from @kimmcbirnie made using Lanterns again, [no, it is not a giant lampshade with lady inside it 😉 ]; and this sweet pencil case from @theshedders which makes fantastic use of one of our favourite fabrics from the range Cameo Deluxe – loving your work ladies!
