B Saffron 03810 1 x 100gm
NEEDLES
1 pair 3¾mm (no 9) (US 5) needles
1 pair 4½mm (no 7) (US 7) needles

TENSION

20 sts and 24 rows to 10cm measured over st st using 4½ mm
(US 7) needles

SPECIAL ABBREVIATIONS
Wyib = with yarn held at back; wyif = with yarn held at front; Cr1R = slip next st onto cable needle and leave at back of work K1, then K1 from cable needle; Cr1L = slip next st onto cable needle and leave at front of work K1, then K1 from cable needle.
Using 3¾mm (US 5) needles and yarn A, cast on 103 sts.
Row 1 (RS): * K1, P1, rep from * to last st, K1.
Row 2: * P1, K1, rep from * to last st, P1.
These 2 rows form rib.
Work 8 rows more in rib.
Change to 4½mm (US 7) needles
Now work in patt as folls:
Row 1 (RS): K using yarn A.
Row 2: Pusing yarn A.
Rows 3 and 4: Rep rows 1 and 2.
Row 5: K using yarn B.
Row 6: Using yarn B, K2, * K3, P3, K4, rep from * to last st, K1.
Row 7: Using yarn A, K1, * K4, sl 3P wyib, K3, rep from *to last 2 sts, K2.
Row 8: Using yarn A, K1, P1, * P3, sl 3P wyif, P4, rep from* to last st, K1.
Rows 9 and 10: Rep rows 7 and 8.
Row 11: Using yarn A, K1, * K3, Cr1R, sl 1P wyib, Cr1L, K2, rep from * to last 2 sts, K2.
Row 12: As row 2.
Row 13: As row 1.
Row 14: As row 2.
Row 15: As row 5.
Row 16: Using yarn B, K1, P1, * P1, K7, P2, rep from * to last st, K1.
Row 17: Using yarn A, K1, * sl 2P wyib, K7, sl 1P wyib, rep from * to last 2 sts, sl 1P wyib, K1.
Row 18: Using yarn A, K1, sl 1P wyif, * sl 1P wyif, P7, sl 2P wyif, rep from * to last st, K1.

Next row: Purl.
Next row (RS): * K6, K2tog, rep from * to last 3 sts, K3. 73 sts.
Next row: Purl.
Next row (RS): * K5, K2tog, rep from * to last 3 sts, K3. 63 sts.
Next row: Purl.
Next row (RS): * K4, K2tog, rep from * to last 3 sts, K3. 53 sts.
Next row: Purl.
Next row (RS): * K3, K2tog, rep from * to last 3 sts, K3. 43 sts.
Next row: Purl.
