The historic Highlands of Scotland have inspired the latest range of fabrics from British fabric designers Lewis and Irene. With motifs including stags, thistles and Scottie dogs, and with contemporary twangs of tartan, The Glen is an evocative range that makes you proud to be British!
You don’t have to go far to see that the trend for all things ‘country’ is massive for this Autumn/Winter. Stags heads, plaids and checks, wool and tweed, shooting sticks and other trappings of British country living are all the rage — and we love it! This classic style is timeless, elegant and cosy, but is also being made contemporary by some clever designers.
We were so taken with the new range of fabrics from Lewis and Irene — The Glen — that we brought the collection in store immediately. Not only do we love the range, we also love the authenticity of the brand — a genuine British story.
Lewis and Irene are a British family-run business, designing fabulous sewing and quilting cotton fabrics. The brand is named after two very special people, who created a happy home and have left a legacy of love threaded through three generations of family.
In The Glen, a contemporary palette complements traditional themes to create a rich collection that evokes the majestic mountains and singular flora and fauna of Scotland.
Our fave prints from the range are below, in glorious detail. Click each image for more.
