Making up
Slip the candle holder (or jam jar) into the lantern cover. Sew the ends of the hanging loop very securely to the inside at the top edge of the lantern cover – making sure they are opposite each other. Weave the cord tie in and out of the holes (beginning and ending in the same hole) created in the lacy pattern around the top of the lantern cover. Pull up to gather around the candle holder. Thread a button or bead onto each end of the tie and knot to hold them in place. Pop an electric tea-light into the base of the holder.
