5 Ways to Wear Tilda this Summer

Tilda fabrics are the perfect choice for summer and they are simply too pretty to hide away indoors. Read on for 5 ways to wear Tilda this summer for perfectly pretty looks.

Infinity Scarf

Top of our list of ‘ways to wear Tilda’ is this gorgeous infinity scarf, made by our very own Ame Verso. She has sewn this lovely summer scarf with Tilda’s Apple Bloom fabric line using a pattern designed by Prudence Rogers. The scarf has just seven seams to sew so it really is a quick an easy project. It’s also two-sided so you can create two different looks depending on how you wear it.

This hairband is decorated with cute little Suffolk puffs which show off the Tilda prints and are really good fun to make. For a Suffolk puff step by step tutorial visit here. Be warned, however, they are addictive, especially when you make them out of your favourite Tilda fabric.

Summer dresses

How adorable are these designs for little girls by Miley & Moss? We love the cutout heart detail on the back of the dress and the way they have cleverly added lace. These are made using fabrics from the Apple Bloom and Spring Lake collections – too cute!

Giant Patchwork Bag

One of the easiest ways to ‘wear’ Tilda fabrics is as a patchwork bag, like this gorgeous one made using Spring Lake. The Tilda folks created the pattern and we’ve made a kit so you can make it in Spring Lake or Painting Flowers if you prefer. It’s a very generous size so it’s perfect for carrying towels or blankets to the beach.

Tilda Apron

Aprons are quick and easy to sew and make the perfect present for fabric lovers. Who wouldn’t want a pretty apron like the one pictured below? Our retro pinny pattern requires just two fat quarters of fabric and would lend itself perfectly to Tilda fabric makeover, don’t you think?
